The first book in the series of self-help children’s colouring-in books, Two Birthday Cakes, published by Sydney Mediation Partnership will be launched on August 21 at Eva Breuer Art Dealer, 83 Moncur Street Woollahra, Sydney Australia.
Endorsed by child psychologists and relationship counsellors, this book for children of separated and divorced parents will reassure them that there is life after separation, and that there can be a positive side.
The book takes the reader through Bronte’s story of how she, and her brother Jeremy, came to have two homes, two toothbrushes, and among other things, Two Birthday Cakes. It is based on true stories and will hopefully help children in the same boat.

What a wonderful initiative! I know several divorced parents who struggled with explaining to their young children parenting arrangements after their separation from their spouse. My own children struggle with understanding the mechanics of the lives of their relatives and friends whose parents are divorced. “Two Birthday Cakes” will greatly assist such children and their parents with understanding what the lives of children of divorced parents look like and that such arrangements are more commonplace than a young child may otherwise perceive.
